The honest version of every printer buying guide: for most people the answer is a current-generation enclosed machine from Prusa or Bambu, sized to the biggest part you'll realistically make, and the rest is detail.
Our shop's bias is on the record: the workhorse here is a Prusa Core One L, on sponsorship from Prusa Research, and it earns its bench space daily. The Bambu machines are excellent at speed and polish; the Prusa wins on serviceability, open ecosystem, and the boring reliability that matters when customer parts are on the bed. Budget machines have closed most of the print-quality gap but none of the support gap.
Before you buy anything: decide what you'll actually print, in what material, and whether you want a hobby or a tool.
